What Our Guests Say About a Truly Dog-Friendly Stay
We designed Rowan Tree Retreat to be the perfect escape for the whole family, especially the four-legged members. We believe a holiday is only a true holiday when your dog can enjoy it as much as you do. But you don’t have to take our word for it. Here’s what our recent guests and their happy dogs have to say about their dog-friendly stay at Rowan
A Garden for Zoomies and Snoozes
One of the most consistently praised features for our dog-friendly stay is our private, fully enclosed garden. We know that peace of mind is priceless, and our guests love knowing their dogs have a safe space to play and relax.
A guest from Salisbury noted their “dogs loved the garden and we felt confident they were safe,” while another from Stockton-on-Tees described it as a “nice size & very secure.” For many, it’s simply “perfect for dogs with the fully enclosed garden.” We were particularly happy to hear from one guest that their “dog was completely relaxed and settled from the moment we arrived.”
Endless Adventures, Right from the Gate
The ability to step straight from the garden into the Forest of Dean is a game-changer for our visitors. No cars, no hassle—just miles of trails waiting to be sniffed out.
A guest from Bedworth called the “direct walk into the forest… great and ideal for walking the dog.” This was echoed by a family from Windsor, who said their “dog loved the walks directly from the garden gate.” One guest from Pontypridd was thrilled that the walks were so fantastic they “didn’t even use the car as everything was within walking distance.” Another simply said the “walks from the door are fabulous.” making Rowan Tree Retreat the ideal dog-friendly stay!
The Little Touches That Make a Big Difference
We believe being “dog-friendly” is about more than just allowing dogs through the door. It’s about a genuine, enthusiastic welcome, and our guests seem to agree.
Benjamin found the property “perfect for dogs with a secure garden, dog wash, bowls etc and a welcome gift of doggy treats was well received!!” Another guest loved the “dog box of treats, towels etc,” calling it a “nice touch.” One visitor from Hatfield Peverel was delighted to find “spare towels, blankets, bowls etc left for the dog along with treats and a tennis ball which she loved.“
This warm welcome was summed up by a guest from Great Whelnetham, who said you “couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay especially if bringing your furry friends,” praising the “lovely little basket of bits for your doggies.”
From the secure garden to the forest on the doorstep and the special treats waiting on arrival, we love hearing that our four-legged guests have had a fantastic time. We look forward to welcoming you and your dogs for your own tail-waggingly good adventure.
