Leave the car, there’s no need to travel as you can walk into the forest straight from the enclosed garden for many walks so you can walk for miles, into the Forest across to Symonds Yat Rock & down to the River Wye as well as multiple woodland walks including the lovely Mailscot Wood Trail. On your return you can rest your weary limbs in the blissful heat of the hot tub.

Dogs are welcome at this holiday home woodland retreat, and you can be sure to find great doggy walks right from the door!

Rowan Tree Retreat is situated in a peaceful and easily accessible forest location close to the border with Wales. The market towns Monmouth and Ross on Wye are a short drive away as well as the nearby historic town of Coleford.

The cottage is within walking distance of the famous Saracens Head, Symond’s Yat East. Closer still there’s a forest cafe/shop within a 10/15 min walk. This Forest of Dean adventure site offers multiple activities such as archery, adventure challenge, zip wire, etc. making this an ideal holiday home for both families or couples.

Come and enjoy this fantastic location for pure relaxation, a walking holiday or an activity holiday with cycle trails, canoeing and rock-climbing sites close by.
